The lending section of the library comprises 70 % of the library’s 140,000 volume stock. With a system of free shelves the readers can find the necessary books. At the same time the workers of the reference department are more than happy to help with finding the right documents or using the catalogues of the library.

Using the Library

The services of the library can be made use of by every inhabitant of the town, the pupils learning in the town, or those who work in the town. Others need a guarantee from a registered reader to have a reader’s card.

The readers can borrow 4 books on one occasion for a period of one month. This can be extended by showing the books.

Reader demand plays an important part in shaping the stock, as every age-group can find their preferences. Besides literature all fields of knowledge are covered with specialized books.

Pre-school and primary school children are welcome in a separate and friendly environment.
