The Reading Room contains the stock of books that cannot be borrowed but used on the premises. The pleasant and spacious environment makes it possible for readers to study encyclopedias, dictionaries, reference and specialized books, as well as periodical publications.

In the Reading Room readers are expected to be disciplined in order to have a peaceful atmosphere for studying purposes.

The free shelf system makes it possible to reach any document needed. Library documents stored outside the reading room can be claimed through a call card. There is also a possibility to use the photocopying machine, upon payment of compensation and only from the book stock of the library. Furthermore, free Internet usage is possible for academic purposes.

A major part of the reading room is made up of the local collection, which opens the door to study the history of Székely land.
